Zone3 opens New York office and appoints Julian Locke as Executive Vice President, Zone3 USA

Zone3 is pleased to announce the opening of a New York office and the appointment of Julian Locke as Executive Vice-President and Head of US Operations.

The company recently produced God, Guns & Automobiles for History US and Match Game for Comedy Network. It currently has several projects under development, both for Canadian and American broadcasters. This announcement confirms Zone3’s desire to create and produce even more English-language television programming. The company already has an impressive roster of French-language programs and is one of Quebec’s leading production companies, and one of the largest in Canada. “By having a presence in the United States, we want to speed up our growth,” said Michel Bissonnette, President of Zone3.

Julian Locke has an impressive track record and was a key member of the senior management team responsible for Leopard Films UK’s extraordinary growth in the United States. During that period the company’s sales grew from three to thirty million dollars in five years. Leopard Films’ productions include House Hunters International, Dear Genevieve, Man Caves, Disaster Guy, Top Spot and Pumped!

“Julian has my full trust. His creative sense and his management abilities will allow him, I am certain, to reach the objectives that we have established,” added Michel Bissonnette.

“Zone3 is known for the great quality of its productions and its creativity. I am certain that the company has all that it takes to secure an enviable position in the United States and in the English-Canadian market. I am excited to start working.” Locke said.

Executive producers Michael Kronish and Isabelle-Anouk Bourduas will team up with Locke and together they will form the unit responsible for English-language productions, whether they are destined for the English Canadian market or the United States.
