CVTCORP announces the appointment of Charles Sirois to its Board of Directors

Robert J. Ratliff, Chairman of the Board of CVTCORP, is proud to announce that Charles Sirois has been appointed to the Board of Directors. Mr. Sirois is joining a seasoned team of directors, led since 2010 by Mr. Ratliff, the founder and former President & CEO and Chairman of the Board of AGCO (NYSE: AGCO), a global leader in agricultural equipment.

“The entire CVTCORP team is delighted to welcome Mr. Sirois aboard and plans to make the most of his company-building experience as we capitalize on the steady demand for CVTCORP’s flagship product: continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) for tractors. Mr. Sirois’s extensive expertise and impressive list of achievements are bound to be hugely beneficial for our organization,” said Daniel Girard, CVTCORP’s founder and its current CEO.

“I’m pleased to be able to contribute to the growth of a thriving company like CVTCORP. Its CVT technology for generators and farm machinery reduces fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions,” Mr. Sirois declared.

Charles Sirois is Chairman of the Board of Telesystem, which has backed CVTCORP since 2005. He is also the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Enablis, Chairman of the Board of CIBC, and Founding Partner of Tandem Expansion Fund. During the course of his career, he has headed such prominent corporations as BCE Mobile Communications and Teleglobe. He also founded Telesystem International Wireless and Microcell Telecommunications (Fido). He currently sits on the Board of Rogers Communications. Mr. Sirois is a member of the Order of Canada and the Ordre national du Québec. He was inducted into Canada’s Telecommunications Hall of Fame in 2010 and is the recipient of five honorary PhDs.

CVTCORP is currently strengthening its Board of Directors to seek out additional support and guidance as it ramps up its development efforts. Following its first commercial rollout for power generation applications in 2013, CVTCORP plans to make this game-changing technology commercially available to major farm equipment manufacturers as of 2016.
